I think that the first one was about a mother and her child as monsters. the second one was about people who were in collage and were making fun of a mother and her deformed chld as they were on there way to class.- Bryce Rude
ReplyDeletethe poem to me is about a mom who thinks that the only way to make her child happy is to give him what he wants and let him do what he wants to do. the short story to me is about a group of college students who want to find the legend of the jersey devil that haunts the city. there is a man who thinks that if they do find this beast is it what they are wanting it to be or is it just some myth that will never be solved. if this thing does exsist what will happen when or if they find it. will it attack them or will they attack it. will it make friends or will it run away and never be seen again
ReplyDeleteI think that the first story is about a mother who is refers to her children as "monsters" because they are mischievous, but she gives into their ways anyways.
ReplyDeleteThe second story is about a legend That i think was told to keep people out of the woods, because at the time when it was made up the woods were a dangerous place with bears and wolves so people didnt want their kids going there.
I think that the poem and the article are very similar because they both are kind of dark and and scary. I think the poem talks about a mother who refers to her child as a monster. The article talks about a mother who is pregnant and thinks that her 13th child is a devil. This article really makes me realize how crazy some people are. Personally I think being a monster hunter is weird. -Quinn Anderson
ReplyDeleteThe poem and article was about creepy stories about scary situations. I think the article is more deep and scary. The poem talks about scary monsters. I would enjoy going after monsters and becoming a MONSTER HUNTER MAN!!!!!! I like the article the best because it is more in depth and gives you more detail. The poem is less in depth but isnt to bad. The article is about college students who want to find the legend of the Jersey Devil. The poem is about how the mother refers to her child as a little monster.
ReplyDeletethe article was about a man not believing in those fake make believe monsters that people make up in the head. his monsters are the real ones that he has to live with every day like his dog. how his dog and him end up becoming on e at the end of it from him giving up his soul to the dog but it is going blind
ReplyDeleteThe poem is about a mother who refers to her child as a monster as. The article was about a mother who is pregnant with her 13th child and think the child is a devil. Both the article and the poem are similar because they talk about how the mothers thinks that their child is a monster or a devil. Also the article is about college students who want to fnd the Jersey Devil because they are the Monster hunters. The article and poem are weird and creepy because it show how the mothers think that their childrena are a monster and a devil.
ReplyDeleteI see the monster in the poem as a pet, probably a dog, because the writer refers to raccoons and skunks as monsters so logically their monster would be their pet. The article is about the legend of the Jersey Devil, and people are searching for this Devil because they want it to be real since it defies what we already know about nature and people want to see that kind of thing, something that nobody else has.
ReplyDeletei think the first one is about a women and her handicapped child and she is talking about how the only way to keep him happy is to give up here life to take care of him. The second one i didn't find interesting much at all. There is no secret meaning and the story is boring.
ReplyDeleteI think the pem and story are very similar. they both talk about scary stuff. i think the poem talks about a mother who thinks her child is a monster. and the story talks about how a mother thinks her 13th child is a monster. I personaly think being a monster hunter would be fun but a bit scary.
ReplyDeleteSlenderman.
ReplyDeleteagreed.
DeleteI feel like the monster was once this mans pet. Or maybe a child, if even that.
ReplyDeleteor this guy accepted a hell hound as a pet and wound up getting his soul eaten.
black magic and what not.
I think the fist one might have been about hunger, and giving in to eating what might not be healthy. Until she said the monster ate her soul. I got lost there. The second one I am positive is about slenderman. creepy!!
ReplyDeleteI think the first poem is about a kid who sees his little brother as a monster who is unpleasable. I think the second one was about some college kids who want to make a name for theirselves so they try to go and find the "Jersey Devil."
ReplyDeleteI believe the poem talks about a pet of some sort. It talks about different animals and then talks about feeding the little monster bacon. That gives me the picture of a pet. The article talks about college students trying to find the "Jersey Devil." The article does a good job with descriptions, and telling what the students are trying to do. The poem was kind of difficult to understand. The article and poem are similar because they both talk about something scary.
ReplyDeleteI believe that poem and the article are very similar. They both talk about things that are scary and the can give readers the chills. I also think that the article of the college students that are going out to try to find the "Jersey Devil" is highly interesting. It has great description and that makes the story more interesting to follow. The description also gives you a great idea on what the students are trying to do and I find that highly important when you are reading something.
